PATENT OF THE WEEK – MOBILE TERMINAL AND PRIMARY CELL

Today’s patent was invented by Miho Maeda Mitsuru Mochidzuki on January 20, 2022, bearing patent no. JP7003201B2.

The present disclosure relates to mobile terminals.  Among the communication methods called the third generation, the W-CDMA (Wideband Code division Multiple Access) method has been in commercial service in Japan since 2001. In addition, by adding a channel for packet transmission (High Speed-Downlink Shared Channel: HS-DSP) to the downlink (individual data channel, individual control channel), further speeding up of data transmission using the downlink can be achieved. The HSDPA (High Speed Downlink Packet Access) service to be realized has started.

Further, in order to further speed up data transmission in the upstream direction, a service has also been started for the HSUPA (High Speed Uplink Packet Access) method. W-CDMA is a communication method defined by 3GPP (3rd Generation Partnership Project), which is a standardization organization for mobile communication systems, and the 10th release version of the standard is compiled.
