TODAY’S PATENT – WASTEBASKET STRUCTURE

This Wastebasket structure was invented by Long-Sheh Wang (Chia Yi). It was patented by the USPTO on March 2, 2010 bearing patent number US7669715B2. The claim of the assignee is the ornamental design for a wastebasket structure, as shown and described.

The goal of the current invention is to enhance the functionality of wastebasket structures, namely those with inner and outer containers that hold cleaning instruments like toilet brushes and plungers in place. Therefore, the main idea behind the invention is to improve  wastebaskets in order to give users even greater convenience.

TODAY’S PATENT - WASTEBASKET STRUCTURE

An embodiment of the present invention comprises a wastebasket with an outer container, an inner container contained within the outer container, and a lid placed on top of the outer container; the outer container has a hollow detaining portion on its outer side that can be used to hold a plunger and a toilet brush in place. A bearing barrel for holding the toilet brush is kept in the hollow detaining section of the outer container. Additionally, the lower end of the outer container features a receiving plate that is positioned next to the hollow detaining section and serves to both support and collect any filthy water that drips from the plunger. Therefore, the wastebasket helps people save space and maintain hygiene.
