TODAY’S PATENT – TRAVEL MUG LID

The travel mug lid was invented by Mr. Hongyuan Han, patent was granted by USPTO on 27^th June, 2017 bearing patent No. USD790272S1. The current invention is assigned to Barenthal North America Inc. The design of the travel mug lid is generic, and has been granted a design patent considering the ornamental design of it.

The travel mug lid is circular, a screw-on lid that slides to open to take quick sips. A travel mug usually has a spill-proof lid. This lid is designed to keep liquids from spilling out when cars go over bumps. The spill-proof design is also helpful for keeping heat inside the cup.
