TODAY’S PATENT – SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR GENERATING, TRANSFERRING AND USING AN ANNOTATED UNIVERSAL ADDRESS
The System and method for generating, transferring, and using an annotated universal address was invented by. which is been patented by USPTO on 11th September 2001 bearing patent no. US6289362B2. This patent has been assigned to ADMINISTRATOR NEDERLAND BV REMBRANDT social media LP.
This invention creates, transfers, and uses annotated universal addresses (AUAs) for multimedia presentation tools like Internet browsers. In an AUA database, users can put network object links (AUAs) in order and show them to others. Users can change how they present without changing the AUA database. The system is made up of three parts: an owner system, content providers, and an AUA database/presentation context server. Each content provider has AUAs, transfer scripts, and descriptions of objects that can be shown.
AUAs and information about templates can be shown by the owner of the AUA database or another user. Users can keep an AUA database and presentation context, like a list of websites or objects from them. The owner of a diary can also let other users access their AUA database and presentation context, change the format, and make AUAs for objects on their websites. Content providers can also control diary items and show ads to users who are more likely to be interested.
