TODAY’S PATENT – SILVER FOG
The present invention is a Euphorbia plant named ‘Silverfog’. The present invention is invented by Leinert, Uwe (D-74918 Angelbachtal, DE). This invention is patented in USPTO and the patent number is PP20858.
The invention is a new distinct cultivar of the Euphorbia plant named ‘silver fog’, it is known for its compact, upright spreading, and mounding plant habit and has numerous white-colored flowers. The new plant is a product of a planned breeding program that was conducted by the inventors in Angelbachtal, Germany. The object of this program was to create a new compact cultivar with a freely branching habit and many flowers.
The plant originated from an open pollination process that was done in June 2006 in Angelbachtal, Germany. With the Chamaesyce Hypericifolia as a female parent. The new Euphorbia was found and selected by the inventor as only the single flowering plant in the controlled greenhouse environment. This plant is not been observed in all possible environments and some variation will be seen if the environment is changed or the temperature is high.
