The present invention is a portable device for accessing the medical history of patients. This invention was invented by Logan, Jr, Carmen (Skaneateles, NY). This invention was filed on 30th October 2007. The patent is registered in USPTO and the application number of this patent is USRE42246E1. The invention is focused on a system for maintaining a large number of patient medical records to provide patients with to access medical records of their own it also includes the person medical practitioner using a local network, WAN, or a global computer.
The availability of the medical record of a patient easily can save time and money and can also get quality medical care. The availability of the information can also speed up the examination process as well. At present, there is lack of efficient patient information flow between segments of the healthcare industry. At present, there is only physician-based information or hospital-based information available. These types of systems are costly. It has been reported that physicians spend up to 58% of their time documenting their patient care. The object of the invention is to provide web-based medical record storage. It will be further provided a read-only view of a patient medical record for emergency purposes. This also provides patients to access their medical charts and also allows a patient to check their prescription.
