TODAY’S PATENT – PIZZA SERVER
The PIZZA SERVER was invented by Bruce Ancona (New York, NY) on the 18th of June, 1996 bearing patent number US5526569A.
The present invention relates to a food server. The food server involves first and second rigid elements which are joined by an elongated hinge. A half–handle portion is included in each of the elements and it is extended from the half-handle portion to a flat half-blade portion as well. Respective handles of the hinge are joined by the half blade handle portions and half blade portions which are moveable between the first portion in which the blade portions are coplanar essentially, the handled portions are less separated. In the second position, the blade portions form a shallow V-shape which is separated less. Thereby, the elements can be moved manually by the user squeezing the handle portions together from the first position to the second one forming the blade portions into a shallow V for retaining a foodstuff to be lifted. This invention is thereby a novel one that facilitates the retaining of foodstuff once it has been picked up.
