TODAY’S PATENT – MANNED TOY AIRCRAFT
This invention “Manned toy aircraft” was invented byHans-Ulrich Wesenberg which was granted patent on 23rd May, 1978 by the USPTO bearing patent grant number US4090323A to the patentee. The present invention relates to a toy aircraft having a body above which is attached an air inflatable balloon, the balloon being inflated and then released, the balloon’s mouthpiece nozzle being disposed with its axis pointing downwards through the centre of the aircraft, and the aircraft being released causing the air to flow rapidly downwards as a jet and the aircraft to climb. The model person is separably connected to the body.
Manned toy aircraft consisting of a body carrying an inflatable air balloon with a mouthpiece nozzle that is positioned with its longitudinal axis extending through the centre of gravity of the aircraft and has its aperture directed downwards towards the ground in the normal flight attitude of the aircraft. The dimensioning is chosen such that the reaction force caused by air flowing out of the mouthpiece nozzle of the inflated air balloon is greater than the reaction force caused by the air flowing into the mouthpiece nozzle of the uninflated air balloon and in that the folded-up parachute is accommodated in a space defined by an inflated air balloon and a bearing surface on the body of the aircraft, with the section of the air balloon facing the support acting as an automatically closing and opening closure for the said space.
