TODAY’S PATENT – LED LAMP ARRAY FOR THE INSECT TRAP
The Led lamp array for the insect trap was invented by Bruce R. Studer and Timothy M. Jones. This invention was granted patent by USPTO on 16th August 2022 bearing patent no. US11412727B2. This invention has been assigned to Garden manufacturing Co. Inc.
In general, the present invention is about insect traps that use a light source to attract insects. More specifically, this invention is about a better light-emitting diode (LED) lamp for these kinds of traps. A trap for flying insects can have an attractive lamp array with at least three different lamps and a controller to control how bright the light is.
The lamps may have a transparent or translucent housing, a first set of light-emitting diodes, a second set of light-emitting diodes, and a third set of light-emitting diodes. The array can have more lamps added to it without changing the idea behind it. The controller turns the light-emitting diodes on and off and changes how bright they are. This controls how much light the lamps give off. It also has a number of different ways to work, like using dip switches or remote control.
