Today’s Patent – Egg-Shaped Pop-Up Toy with Electronic Effects
The said invention (Egg-Shaped Pop-Up Toy with Electronic Effects) (US12029993B1) was invented by Jen-Lin Chen, and Jay Kamhi, and patented by USPTO on October 11th, 2023. Currently, it stands assigned to the Jast Co Ltd, and 100 Greetings LLC.
The pop-up toy device consists of a housing with two sections. Inside the housing, a spring-loaded post moves between a retracted and extended position. When extended, the post separates the two sections of the housing. A groove and rest are formed on the post, and a base in the housing supports it. A locking finger extends from the base and follows the groove as the post moves. It engages the rest to keep the post retracted when manually pushed back from the extended position.
When the post is depressed while in its retracted position, the locking finger releases the rest, allowing the post to spring back to its extended position. This action separates the housing sections and reveals a hidden decorative feature. Simultaneously, the extended post activates a circuit board, which produces audio and/or lights as the decorative feature is exposed.
