The DOOR KNOB SECURITY DEVICE was invented by Theodore M. Crosby (Venice, FL) on the 20th of June, 1995 bearing patent number US5425256A.
The present invention relates to the field of security devices This security device can be attached to the rotary doorknob thereby it prevents access to the lock portion which is incorporated in the knob. The inner body member of the rotatable doorknob has a cylindrical configuration that includes a pair of spaced end walls that can be joined together in a spaced-apart relationship to receive a knob therebetween. Along with this outer body, members have a cylindrical configuration for the purpose to receive the inner body member and the doorknob is placed. The inner body member has a lock member that has passed through the outer body member’s wall and the end wall to prevent separation of the two body members as well as to allow relative rotation of the body members and the doorknob. The medium has a lock member to prevent the doorknob from turning and also to prevent access to the main part of the doorknob. This invention likewise assure the safety and security of the individual using it.
