TODAY’S PATENT – DISGUISED NURSING GARMENT

Disguised Nursing Garments are apparels that facilitate a mother’s nursing for her child while decreasing the exposure of her breasts. These apparels have a detachable pocket looking similar to that of a nightgown and cannot be used as an appropriate casual or work wear. In today’s patent, we will discuss Louise C. Pinch’s invention, “Disguised nursing garment” (US4004294A), which was patented by the USPTO on 25^th January 1977.        

One of the drawbacks of the prior art inventions is the lack of attractiveness. The present invention is an improvement to overcome the prior art disadvantages. This invention has an attractive appearance consisting of a loose-fitting blouse along with detachable flaps through the breast panels where the sleeves of the garment can be altered to various styles. The openings are large enough to facilitate easy access to the child for nursing purposes.

The primary objective of this invention is to provide enhanced apparel for nursing which can also be used as attractive casual wear. Additionally, this invention aims to impart the highest convenience for nursing and provides a comfortable fit for the wearer.
