TODAY’S PATENT – DIMENSIONALLY FLEXIBLE TOUCH FASTENER STRIP
The Dimensionally flexible touch fastener strip was invented by Gerald ROCHA. which is been patented by USPTO on 10th September 2019 bearing patent no. US10405614B2. A touch fastening strip with a base portion with two sides connected to at least two opposing side walls, a top portion connected to the side walls, and fastening elements on one side or the top portion is disclosed. The strip also has a planar base with two sides, a planar top wall, and fastening elements on one side or the top.
Providing polymer material into a nip between a molding roll with a corrugated surface and fastener cavities and a complimentary device forces the material into the surface and cavities to form a touch-fastening strip. The fastening strip has a base portion with two sides, a top portion connected to the opposing side walls, and fastening elements on one side or the top portion. Feeding the strip between complementary rollers with projecting teeth, applying vacuum and/or pressure, and forming a touch-fastening strip is a method. Feeding the strip onto a corrugated roller and applying a vacuum from the fastening strip.
