TODAY’S PATENT – CUSTOMIZABLE GIFT BOX
The CUSTOMIZABLE GIFT BOX was invented by Timothy J. Flynn (Key Largo, FL) on the 19th of June, 2008 bearing patent number US20080141568A1.
The present invention relates to a gift box that can be customized. The gift box comprises a blank box and a label assembly which has a label with a printable surface. The label assembly has both back and face sheets and the said label assembly consists of an outer sheet and face sheet that can be separated from the back sheet. The face sheet has both carrier portions and at least one label. The label assembly includes a face sheet which is a printable surface and the said label assembly can be customized by printing on the label with the use of a standard printer to add desired designs, writing, etc. The back sheet contains the first removable part that overlaps the label, albeit partially. Within the face sheet, there is a removable portion that can be separated to expose to an adhesive surface of the label. Thus, after removing the first part that can be removed, a partial surface of the label is exposed, and at least one end of the box with one or more index lines can be deployed without labeling the box blank. Once deployed, the empty box can be attached to the open part of the label and the rest of the label can be applied to the empty box. Thereby, this invention proved to be a more user-friendly and convenient one.
