TODAY’S PATENT – COT
The COT was invented by David Stitchick (Norton, OH), Joseph A. Lawlor (Medina, OH), Lukasz S. Poslowski (Middleburg Heights, OH) on the 26th of July 2016 , bearing patent number US9398815B2.
The present invention relates to cot is a small bed. Cots typically have a configuration that enables them to be lightweight and portable. Cots for children, for example, may be used in a day care to provide a comfortable place for children to rest and sleep. Cots for children may benefit from improvements. The cot may include at least two legs that are mounted to the frame. The lower portion of a leg that contacts the floor is referred to herein as the foot portion of the leg. In this example, the at least two legs are positioned to support the frame above a horizontal floor surface with the foot portions of each leg in contact with the floor surface.
Also, each leg extends outwardly and downwardly from the frame such that the foot portions are positioned outwardly of the outer perimeter of the frame in both vertical and horizontal directions. Each leg may also include at least one fastener (such as a rivet) that is positioned to extend through the at least two spaced apart apertures and through the corner portion of the frame to which the mounted end is connected.
