TODAY’S PATENT – CIRCLE CUTTING TOOL
The circle-cutting tool was invented by Chi-Jen Chen. This invention was granted a utility patent by USPTO on 5th August 2014 bearing patent no. US8793884B1.
The present invention is a special tool for cutting circles. This is because drawing circles on soft, flat objects takes a lot of time. The tool is made up of an outer ring seat, a rotary disc, an elongated through groove, and an adjustable elastic cutting assembly.
When the circle-cutting tool is used to cut circles, the adjustable elastic cutting assembly lets the size of the circles be changed by sliding, and the rotary disc can be rotated through its outer ring portion to get the best torque. Also, the adjustable elastic cutting assembly makes it possible to cut objects of different thicknesses with a consistent and uniform force, making the process of cutting easier and smoother.
