TODAY’S PATENT – CHEESE MOULD
The CHEESE MOULD was invented by Peter Waldburger (Niederbüren) on the 9th of June 2015 bearing patent number US9049837B2.
The present invention relates to cheese mould bearing plastic or metal having polygonal or round cross-section having a simple structure with high pressing pressure which maintains a high hygiene demand. The cheese mould wall is integral and provided with the rib structure on the outer wall in the transitional and base region. The strength and the stability of the cheese mould are increased and the base of the same can be checked visually. The rib structure can be applied to both the round and angular moulds with respect to its adaptations. In the case of round cheese moulds, the individual ribs extend radially while in the rectangular one the ribs are arranged at least parallel to each other. The ribs are dimensioned as such that the outer dimensions of existing cassettes for receiving cheese molds can remain unchanged. Also, the jacket of the cheese mould consists of a perforated plate, which additionally has a whey edge with a coarser perforation. Thereby, this invention proved to be a very beneficial one.
