TODAY’S PATENT – BATHING APPARATUS FOR HOSPITAL OR BEDRIDDEN PATIENTS
In hospitals and other such institutions there is no adequate provision in existence for bathing bedridden patients. Either they must be transported to a bathroom elsewhere in the hospital for baths or given sponge baths while in the bed. Therefore, there is a need for a portable bathing apparatus. “Bathing apparatus for hospital or bedridden patients” (US4074370A) was invented by George W. Harmony, which was patented by the USPTO on 21st February 1978.
The present invention relates to a portable bathing apparatus for hospitals and institutions. The intention behind this invention is to provide an easy movement apparatus regardless of the patient’s condition. There are certain problems which arise such as insufficient height issues, maintaining the temperature of water at a desired warm level. The objective of this invention is to provide a means for emptying the tub and transporting the drained water to places of higher elevation. It also aims at maintaining the water at a desired temperature.
