TODAY’S PATENT – APPARATUS FOR STABILIZING IRRIGATION TOWERS
The apparatus for stabilizing irrigation towers was invented by Wesley Allen Bainter. The invention was granted patent by USPTO on 9th August 2022 bearing patent no. US11406072B1.
The invention i.e. the apparatus for stabilizing the irrigation tower was made in order to maintain the stability of irrigation towers when the wind is strong. It includes outrigger arms with ground-engaging elements that are spaced transversely from one another. These outrigger arms are designed to work together with the ground-engaging elements. When the outriggers are in their extended position, the ground-engaging elements are attached to the close ends of the outrigger arms. They are also positioned in such a way that each ground-engaging element comes into contact with the surface of the farm ground. When the outriggers are in a position where they can be retracted, the ground-engaging elements can also be retracted into a position that is closer to the irrigation tower.
