TODAY’S PATENT – AIR CONDITIONER
This was invented by Atsuhiko Yokozeki (Tokyo), Susumu Nakayama (Tokyo), and Hiroaki Tsuboe (Tokyo) . It was patented by the USPTO on March 19, 2019 bearing patent number US10234147B2. The current invention is related to multi-room air conditioners with several interior units, and it is most preferably suitable to air conditioners that use R32 as the refrigerant.
The goal is to acquire an air conditioner that can independently regulate each interior unit’s cooling capability and suppress the growth in compressor discharge temperature. The current invention offers a multi-room air conditioner that uses liquid and gas pipes to create a refrigeration cycle between an outdoor unit with an outdoor heat exchanger and many indoor units with indoor heat exchangers and indoor expansion mechanisms.
R32 or mixed refrigerant with at least 70% mass percentage of R32 is utilised as the refrigerant that circulates through the refrigeration cycle. A temperature difference detecting device built into the air conditioner measures the difference in air temperature between the air entering the unit and the air exiting it. This device is found in the individual internal heat exchangers of each indoor unit.
By controlling the indoor expansion mechanism in each individual indoor unit in response to the air temperature difference within the indoor unit that is recognized by the temperature difference detecting device, the cooling capacity in each distinct indoor unit is regulated.
