PATENT OF THE WEEK – EYE SHADE AND METHOD OF PRODUCING EYE SHADES
Various designs of eye shades have been proposed in the past and are economically produced in large quantities in the market. In today’s patent, we will discuss about Henry Sawatsky’s invention, “Eye shade and method of producing eye shades” (US4258437A), which was patented by the USPTO on 31st March 1981.
The present invention relates to eye shades and a method of producing such eye shades to be worn for golfing, sailing, tennis and other out of doors activities. These eyes shades are worn at a convenient level, above the eyes of the wearer to the shade of the eyes. They must be lightweight and comfortable to the wearer when worn.
The main objective of this invention is to provide an eye shade which is sturdy and furnished with a decorative printing. Further, it includes a brand of an elastic material for retaining the eye shade on the head of a wearer.
