TODAY’S PATENT – METHOD OF PRODUCING COPPER NANO PARTICLE COLLOIDAL DISPERSIONS
The said invention with Patent Number US10279393B2 was registered by USPTO on May 7th, 2019.
This process offers a way to create copper nanoparticles without oxide impurities, using a method called solution phase synthesis. Here’s how it works: First, a solution containing an organic reducing agent, which has at least two nitrogen atoms nearby, is mixed with another solution containing a copper salt that’s been changed into a charge transfer complex. When these two solutions are combined, they react to form copper nanoparticles in a reduced state. To keep these nanoparticles stable, they’re mixed with substances called Lewis bases and Lewis acids. If needed, the solution can be made more concentrated by removing some of the volatile, low-weight solvent either by applying a partial vacuum or by transferring it into another phase chemically.
Lastly, this method offers a relatively simple and scalable approach to producing copper nanoparticles, making it potentially valuable for large-scale manufacturing processes in the future. Overall, by enabling the production of high-quality copper nanoparticles with controlled properties, this process holds promise for advancing technology in diverse fields and opening up new avenues for innovation and development.
