Today’s Patent – Light Emitting Diode (Led) Light Bulb and String Light Using Led Light Bulb
The said invention (US12044365B1) was invented by Sijun Zou, and patented by USPTO on October 31st, 2023. Currently, it stands assigned to the individual.
This invention relates to an LED light bulb and a string light that incorporates the bulb, designed with ease of assembly and waterproofing in mind. The LED light bulb features a surface-mounted device (SMD) LED lamp bead with metal lead lamp feet welded to its connecting terminals, a transparent lamp housing, and a waterproof rubber matrix encasing the lamp bead for protection. A rubber core supports the assembly with an insertion hole for the transparent housing and mounting provisions for the lamp feet. The lamp bulb is engineered to be waterproof, cost-effective to manufacture, and easy to assemble, utilizing SMD welding and encapsulation of components in rubber, which reduces the need for separate injection molds and simplifies production.
The string light comprises a power line, male and female connectors, and multiple lamp holders, each fitted with one of the LED light bulbs. Each lamp holder includes a rubber core insertion hole that aligns with the power line and connects the LED bulb’s metal lead feet with terminal lugs for electrical conduction. This modular design not only allows for a simplified and rapid assembly process but also eliminates the need for complex wiring or soldering, enabling low-cost, efficient production. The combined LED bulb and string light are ideal for festive and decorative uses, providing a durable, weather-resistant, and easily assembled lighting solution.
