TODAY’S PATENT – PROTECTIVE ARRANGEMENT FOR BEAUTY SALON PATRON

Beauty salon patrons have been subjected to discomfort under the hair dryers due to excessive heat on the forehead, ears, and the back of the neck. In today’s patent, we will talk about Elizabeth L. Hodgman’s invention, “Protective arrangement for beauty salon patron” (US4133052A), patented by the USPTO on 9th January 1979.

The present invention relates to a novel protective arrangement to be worn by beauty salon patrons for avoiding discomfort due to excessive heat from the hairdryer. This invention consists of principal objects such as:

(1) a flexible cape to cover the back of the wearer’s neck.

(2) a flexible headband with a transparent visor to cover the wearer’s eyes and nose with an ear flap to cover the ears.
