Today’s Patent – Adjustable Holographic Metamaterial Antenna Structure
The said invention (US12074384B1) was invented by Tianrui ZhengZhongchao LuoHe CaiRan MoFawen RongXu Zhao and patented by USPTO on October 8th, 2023. Currently, it stands assigned to Chengdu Guoheng Space Technology Engineering Co Ltd.

The above-mentioned invention relates to an adjustable holographic metamaterial antenna structure. It comprises of a surface waveguide feed network configured to connect to a power dividing network; a varactor diode bias circuit configured to comprise a direct current bias circuit and a plurality of varactor diodes associated with the direct current bias circuit; and a metamaterial surface arranged above the direct current bias circuit, and the metamaterial surface and the direct current bias circuit are connected through a bias via hole.
The conventional holographs have coplanar waveguides and microstrip arrays for feeding, which have defects such as low aperture efficiency, serious dielectric loss, and narrow bandwidth. In order to solve the issue of the conventional holographs, the above mentioned holograph uses a surface waveguide feed network, a varactor diode bias circuit and a metamaterial surface.
