Standard monitoring devices can gather information about how a car is being driven. However, traditional telematics tools and ways of collecting data may have a number of problems. Specifically, regular telematics devices only monitor the movement and operation of the car they are attached to. This kind of data can only be used to find out where the vehicle is if it has been in an accident and other basic information about the car.
Alerting systems and methods are discussed in detail concerning road and motor vehicle safety. With the help of this invention, sensors are used to send data to one or more devices connected to a car. This sensor data creates an electronic world for the vehicle that shows where it is electronically. The address of a walker or bike in the electronic car world is found using a smart device connected to that person.
