TODAY’S PATENT – RF POWER AMPLIFIER
RF POWER AMPLIFIER invention (US8698562B2) was invented by Masao Kondo, Yoshikuni Matsunaga, Kenta Seki and Satoshi Sakuraiand patented by USPTO on April 15th, 2014. Currently, it stands assigned to Renesas Electronics Corp.
An RF power amplifier boosts the strength of radio frequency signals for transmission over longer distances or through obstacles. It’s essential for applications like wireless communication, radar, broadcasting, and microwave ovens.
This invention is about RF power amplifiers and a way to reduce the input impedance of a primary coil in an impedance matching circuit without lowering its Q-factor.
The goal is to create an RF power amplifier where the input impedance of the transformer’s primary side can be decreased without affecting its Q-factor. Another aim is to reduce the decrease in power added efficiency (PAE) of the amplified RF output signal. Lastly, it aims to lessen the increase in harmonic distortion in the RF power amplifier.
It will result in clearer signals, reliable and effective communication, reduced power consumption and enhanced overall system performance.
