This luggage caster was invented by Yu-Chi Chen (Changhua). It was patented by the USPTO on November 10, 2020 bearing patent number USD901182S1.
This patent was assigned to Solite International Co., Ltd. (Changhua). Their claim is the ornamental design for a luggage caster, as shown and described.
This invention relates to a Luggage caster. Essentially, the goal of this invention is to create a luggage roller assembly that is less prone to damage from contact with obstacles and similar objects than existing systems, free from the tendency to collect dirt and foreign materials inside the housing or casing, and functionally more reliable than previous systems.
These objects are attained, in accordance with the present invention, by providing an item of baggage that contains a roller assembly or caster that has a housing or casing built into the bottom wall and a stirrup attached to the upper wall of the housing that houses a rotational roller. The roller extends through a hole in a typically spherical convex cover and extends slightly beyond it in order to prevent obstacles from impairing the stirrup and roller and to protect the housing’s interior from foreign objects. The convex cover is attached to the stirrup and rotates along with it when it can rotate.
