TODAY’S PATENT – FASTENER SYSTEMS

The Fastener system was invented by Andrew Coutant, Matthew Edward Paduano, Christopher Tagumi, and Gregory Dailey. which is been patented by USPTO on 5^th September 2017 bearing patent no. US10064408B2. This patent has been assigned to North Face Apparel Corp.

Innovative fasteners solve prior art problems and meet various needs. The first plate can define two apertures opposite a cross-member. A tensioner can extend through the first aperture and be hidden by a second plate that matingly engages with the first. A third plate can also mate with the first plate from the opposite side. The fasteners are used in adjustable straps.

A core can have opposed first and second sides and define an aperture from one side to the other. A fastener member can define a cross-member and first and second apertures.

A strap can pass through the first fastener member aperture, over the cross-member, and through the second aperture. A cover plate can be placed on the core’s second side and mated with the fastener member through the aperture.

A hidden adjustment mechanism adjusts a strap, which is fed through a first aperture, over a cross-member, and through a second aperture. A sleeve can hold the core and the cover plate. A wearable pack with adjustable straps has a body that holds articles and at least one body strap.
