TODAY’S PATENT – FASTENING ARRANGEMENT FOR PLASTICS HANDLES OF SCISSORS AND EQUIVALENT
This invention “Fastening arrangement for plastics handles of scissors and equivalent” was invented by Erkki Olavi Linden and was assigned to Fiskars Oyj Abp, was granted patent on 24th May, 1977 by the USPTO bearing patent grant number US4024634A to the patentee. The current invention pertains to a method of attaching scissors handles made of plastic to tangs at the ends of blade shafts and structures that are functionally similar.
The present invention relates to a fastening arrangement for plastic handles on cutting tools such as pliers and scissors. The arrangement includes two blade-shafts that are pivotably fastened to one another, the handles being die-cast around the end portions of the blade-shafts. The handles of these scissors are made of plastic and are die-cast in a mould around the tang at the end of the blade-shaft.
