TODAY’S PATENT – PINK EXPLOSION

The present is a Veronica plant named Pink Explosion. The present invention is invented by Verschoor, Jan (Haarlem, NL). The present invention is filed on February 2, 2011. The patent number of this invention is PP22592.

The invention comprises a new distinct variety of veronica, which is known as Veronica Sp. And now it is referred to as Pink Explosion. It was developed through a cross conducted in the summer of 2006 between a female unnamed seedling and a male named proprietary Veronica Sp seedling in Haarlem, The Netherlands. Some of the common characteristics of Pink explosions are strong stems, a very blossomy blooming habit with violet buds, and very easy to grow in one season.

The data which tells about these characteristics were collected from asexual reproduction carried out in Haarlem. The history of the plant was taken in 2-year-old plants that were grown outdoors in Haarlem. All the color readings were done in natural light and all the color references are from the color chart of the Royal Horticultural Society of London.
