TODAY’S PATENT – NIGHT SKY

This present invention is a family of Aloe plant named Night Sky. It was invented by O’Connell from Escondido, CA bearing the patent number PP32863 and was granted on 2nd march 2021by the USPTO.

A star-shaped rosette of olive green with white dots that turns bronze when exposed to sunlight serves as a distinguishing feature of the current invention. The plants of this kind root easily, grow larger than many commercial tiny aloes, and soon fill 8 inches of glass or a larger container. They also grow easily in any temperature condition. It can grow in a garden or in a container. The new plant is the result of deliberate breeding efforts. The pollen parent is Aloe Hybrid SRH 4, and the parent seed is Aloe Hybrid CO11. These plants were crossed in March 2015 at a corporate greenhouse in Vista, California. The physical conditions of the plant may vary in different environments such as high temperature summers, monsoon, winter, etc. The characteristics of the Night sky distinguish from Aloe ‘STARRY NIGHT’. A plant of this variety is similar to the seed parent in most cases, but the above invention differs distinctively.
