TODAY’S PATENT – WASTE TREATMENT SYSTEM
The WASTE TREATMENT SYSTEM was invented by Dominick O. Reilly (Cohayo) on the 12th of June 2012 bearing patent number US8196311B2.
The present invention is an improvised system to treat waste most particularly sludge or a bio-solid material from a wastewater treatment plant. The present invention helps in providing the method of removing water from sludge. And the method is to add to the sludge a blending material that has a porous structure having a weight ratio of about 2:1 to about 10:1 of relatively wet sludge to dry blending material. The suitable sludge blending material into the sludge before compression aids in removing a greater portion of moisture from the sludge which is about 60-70% moisture removal. The blending material comprises fine wood dust which is usually treated with urea-formaldehyde resin contributes to the effectiveness of the compression. As a result of the compression, the sludge tends to bind and ooze in any direction possible and thereby effectively behaving like hydraulic fluid. The blending material presence in the composite mixture allows a greater portion of moisture to get squeezed from the sludge cake, thereby substantially producing a de-watered resultant material with a dry solids content. This invention is proved to be beneficial in removing the odor of the sludge as well as dewatering sewage sludge.
