TODAY’S PATENT – BACKHOE-LOADER
The BACKHOE-LOADER was invented by Hans Schaeff (Langenburg) on 22nd of March 1994, bearing patent number US5295318A.
The present invention convers a backhoe-loader with an undercarriage comprising at its front end a loader structure with a loader arm and loading bucket and at the other end a superstructure revolving by 360°C., a driver cab is provided on one side and on the other, next to the driver cab, power units and a boom-mounting pad pivotable about a vertical shaft.
The boom can be positioned in a raised state outside the field of view of the driver cab. A front mudguard is present and acts as a rest for the implement, the loader structure is mounted asymmetrically relatively to the longitudinal centre axis of the undercarriage on the cab side of the undercarriage, and the rest for the implement on the front mudguard is widened toward the middle of the undercarriage. The object of the invention is to improve existing machines making it possible to speedily move the machine from excavating work to loading or roadway travel with ease.
