TODAY’S PATENT – BEVERAGE DISPENSING SYSTEM

The BEVERAGE DISPENSING SYSTEM was invented by Robert M. Koeneman (Oak Brook, IL), Benjamin D. Miller (Chicago, IL), Thaddeus M. Jablonski (Palatine, IL) on 20th of March 1990, bearing patent number US4909047A.

The present invention relates to beverage dispensing systems in general, and in particular to an improved post-mix beverage dispensing system that always dispenses chilled beverages irrespective of the time lapse between dispensing of beverages.

A beverage dispensing system has multipke dispensing faucets, each of which his supplied with carbonated water (soda) and a selected flavour of syrup. The syrups and soda are chilled upstream of the faucets, and after chilling the soda is distributed to each faucet. In order to prevent warm beverage to be dispensed out of the faucet the soda is withdrawn from the manifold either continuously or periodically to maintain a chilled temperature of the beverage even if the system stands idle for a period of time.
