TODAY’S PATENT – MECHANIZED AUTOMATED VEHICLE WASHING APPARATUS

The Mechanized Automated Vehicle Washing Apparatus was invented by G. Thomas Ennis (Inglewood, CA) on the 7th of November, 1990, bearing patent number US5463788A.

The present invention relates to an improved automatic vehicle washing apparatus and more particularly to such an apparatus having one or more retractable scrubber curtain assemblies. The apparatus further may include a pair of wrap around brushes controlled by a single cylinder as well as stackable, folding legs. It is an object if the present invention to provide a mechanized vehicle washing apparatus which may be operated either in a touch less or a touching mode. It is another object of the present invention to provide a mechanized vehicle washing apparatus which employs a top scrubber curtain which may be easily retracted to one side whereby it is out of the path of a vehicle being washed. It is a further object of the present invention to provide a mechanized vehicle washing apparatus employing a pair of top scrubber curtains retractable to the sides and whose pivotal movements are controlled by a single cylinder or control means
