TODAY’S PATENT – SHOE SOLE CLEANER

Wallace N. Taylor received his patent for the invention, “Shoe sole cleaner” (US4014060A), from the USPTO on 29th March 1977.

The present invention relates to a shoe and boot cleaner which is capable of cleaning the soles of the boots and shoes of persons standing on a supportive grill portion of the cleaner. However, the prior art inventions were not constructed in a manner so as to afford ease and thoroughness of the boot and shoe cleaning. There was no proper maintenance and service as well.

The primary objective of this invention is to provide a cleaner which will be automatically actuated upon the weight of a user. It also provides an upstanding handle portion for the shoe cleaner which can be grabbed in order to instil confidence and provide safety to the person while using the cleaner. Further, it is a simple and an easy to use construction.
